Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about your next favorite pair of boots.
How do I know what size boot to order?
Most of our Western boots run true to size, but some brands may vary. We recommend ordering your standard dress shoe size. If you are between sizes, we suggest sizing down a half size for a snug fit, as leather will stretch and mold to your foot over time.
What is your return policy for boots?
We offer a 30-day return policy for all unworn boots in their original packaging. Please ensure you try your boots on a carpeted surface to avoid scuffing the outsoles, as we cannot accept returns on boots with visible wear or damage.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Orders for in-stock items are typically processed within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping via UPS or FedEx generally takes 3-7 business days depending on your location within the continental United States.
Do you offer custom boot fitting or stretching?
Yes! If you visit our physical storefront in Bastrop, Texas, we provide professional fitting and stretching services. For online orders, we can provide guidance on how to safely stretch your boots at home using professional-grade conditioners.
Are your exotic skins ethically sourced?
Absolutely. Texas Boot Company only partners with reputable tanneries and manufacturers that comply with CITES regulations and international laws regarding the ethical sourcing of exotic leathers like alligator, ostrich, and caiman.
How should I care for my leather boots?
To extend the life of your boots, we recommend regular cleaning with a damp cloth, followed by a high-quality leather conditioner every 3-6 months. For suede or roughout leathers, use a specialized brush to maintain the nap and remove surface dirt.
